Hello, I am Sheriff Jayson Richardson of DeSoto Parish. We are continuously striving to enhance mechanisms for public communication. Historically, our Facebook page has played a significant role in updating you on arrests and local events. Nonetheless, the limitations of Facebook prompted us to amplify our efforts and create an easily accessible application to serve as a comprehensive resource for all matters related to the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office. It is with great pleasure that we present to you The DeSoto Sheriff App!

Here are some key features:

 <li>Push Notifications: The DeSoto Sheriff App enables us to send informative push notifications to your device concerning critical events such as severe weather warnings, missing persons alerts, road closures, or threats to the community. Ensure that you enable notifications in your phone's settings.</li>

<li>Offender Watch: Access a detailed list of registered sex offenders in your vicinity presented on an interactive map along with photos and a user-friendly guide.</li>

<li>Helpful Contacts: A directory of local agencies where you can make calls directly from the app, access agency websites, or obtain directions through your device's map application. Additionally, find contact details for ALL DeSoto Parish Schools.</li>

<li>Social Media and Events: Experience a live feed of the Sheriff's Office Facebook posts for press releases and explore our Events section to remain informed about local events organized by the Sheriff's Office. Details such as event information, date, time, and location are provided for your convenience.</li>

<li>Scam Tips: Stay informed about prevalent phone/email scams and newly reported scams. Learn how to safeguard yourself and where to report a potential scammer accordingly.</li>

<li>Divisions: Discover the various divisions constituting the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office and understand their respective roles.</li>
